Hey everyone!! I am here and I have finally managed to get some of my pictures up (Captions are underneath). Sorry I don't know how to LJ cut, so you are going to have to deal with pictures on the main page. 

This first update is not huge, just wanted to show you guys some pictures of Sydney and some pictures around the university. There is not a whole lot, but hopefully enough to give you a quick view. These pictuers were taken while I was staying in the hostel "Billabong Gardens" in Newtown. See...Sydney is so big that it has to name its subdivisions, so I was staying in the subdivision of Newtown for the first couple of weeks. And now that I am in residence (which is actually just down the road [about 20 mins walking] from the hostel I stayed at) I am in the division of Chippendale. I am going to keep this update brief as I really need to get to sleep. Just for everyone's information we are 15 hours ahead of your time (if you are living in Ontario, Canada). 

The next update will have some pictures and explanations of cool people I met at the hostel and some fun things I did during the first couple weeks here. After that I will get into some residence life, and the beginnings of classes, including the classes I am taking and their descriptions. Hope everyone is doing fine and I will talk to you all soon!

PS - The temperature was about 34 degrees Celsius here today, and I pretty much spent the whole day at the beach - soaking up some rays, hiking, and swimming in the beautiful blue ocean - but I'm not trying to rub it in or anything :)
